Sorry, but I think Michael Moore is a self-aggrandizing little twit. At least he's abundantly clear that his bias is sharply to the left, but I do not consider him a reliable and balanced source, whatsoever. His words also have just a slight touch of intellectual superiority and condescension, which I find tiring.

There is no doubt that Obama is quite the charismatic figure, but I am loathe to give the three cheers to a party that is still horribly fractured among many, many competing interest groups. Not to say the GOP is much better-- they have been a Frankenstein's monster of late, as some registered Republicans have expressed frustration with a party they no longer recognize.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I have very established reasons for being moderate and fiercely Independent. Moore has been rightly criticized in the past for filtering out information contrary to his agenda, and in some films (such as 9/11) interviewees have spoken out, saying they were deliberately taken out of context. He strikes me as a man willing to talk out of both sides of his mouth, all to make left-wing politics look good.
